Touchdown: Cauliflower Wings

When Sunday rolls around, you can find me sitting on the couch for hours on end cheering on my football teams. (Go Steelers! Go Panthers!) But what’s a football Sunday without snacks!?

Admittedly, I’ve never tried real chicken wings. However, I have to say… with these cauliflower wings, there is no need. Even my meat-loving, chicken-wing fanatic boyfriend loves these (+ that’s saying a lot).

Topped with a buttery, lightly-spicy sauce… These are the perfect finger food for game day.

Cauliflower Wings

.01 Cut cauliflower into bite sized florets

.02 Mix ~1 cup of flour, 1/8 cup nutritional yeast, dash of garlic powder, salt + pepper

.03 Add water and mix until a thick batter forms

.04 Dip the cauliflower in the batter then place on a well -oiled ray

.05 Bake @ 375 for ~20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.

(I broil them for a couple of minutes to make them extra crispy… but watch closely so they don’t burn!)

While the cauliflower is baking…

Hot Sauce

.01 Melt (about 1/2 stick of butter)

.02 Add hot sauce of your choice until you’ve reached your desired temperature

.03 Toss cauliflower in the sauce

.04 Serve warm with cauliflower sticks + Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Ranch

 

(Measurements subject to change based on size of cauliflower head)
